Homicide in West Mifflin Arrest Made
West Mifflin, Allegheny County – On Saturday March 12, 2016 at 9:03am, West Mifflin Police responded to Midway Drive in the MonView Heights Housing complex for a man shot. The victim identified as Derek Price was transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment. It was later reported that he was deceased.
This case was turned over to Allegheny County Police Homicide. At approximately 8:00 pm Saturday March 12th County Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Zyaire James, a 22 year old from Clairton PA.
This appears to be a result of both males having relationship interests in the same person and a confrontation occurred between the two.
Zyaire James has been charged with Homicide and lesser included Title 18 offenses.
