Work to Begin April 2 on Homestead-Duquesne Road in West Mifflin

 

PITTSBURGH – The Department of Public Works announced today that work on Homestead-Duquesne Road between Homeville Road and Grant Avenue in West Mifflin Borough will begin at 
6 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2019. The work, which is expected to last until the end of August, includes bituminous paving, concrete repairs, drainage repairs, and safety improvements to approximately 1.1 miles of the road.

 

Crews will perform their work between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays. Drivers can expect to experience short stoppages in work zones. Flaggers will be used to control traffic, and drivers are urged to use caution in the area.

 

The work is being done by A. Folino Construction, Inc. of Oakmont as part of the 2019 Homestead- Duquesne Betterment Project, which is a $2 million contract.
