On 11/18/2015 West Mifflin Police arrested a juvenile from Braddock for theft from vehicles.
West Mifflin, like other communities in the South Hills area, has experienced vehicle break-ins.
The Vehicles that are entered have all been found to be unlocked overnight. The vehicles that are locked are left untouched.
We are urging our citizens to get the word out to your family, friends, and neighbors:
MAKE SURE YOUR VEHICLES ARE ALWAYS LOCKED OVERNIGHT!
DON’T MAKE IT EASY FOR THE CRIMINALS!
The Police Department needs you to be our eyes and ears.
If you observe someone trying car doors, or entering your neighbor’s vehicle, be a good witness, stay our of sight, don’t confront the individual, call the Police Department and stay on the phone with the dispatcher as you give a full description of the suspect(s) and their exact location.
Dispatch will continue to update Officers while en route to the call for our best chance of apprehending these individuals.
