A. Merante Contracting, Inc. has been contracted by the Allegheny County Dept of Public Works to perform the HOMESTEAD-DUQUESNE ROAD SITE 1 ROAD STABILIZATION PROJECT, Munhall Borough, County Project NO. 5147-0207. The exact location is the intersection of Franklin St & Vondera St.
Advance notification signage will be changed in less than 2 weeks with the closing of the road to begin construction on Monday September 21, 2015. The project should take 120 days to complete.
The construction will generally consist of a new cantilever soldier pile retaining wall with cast in-place concrete panels to stabilize and support approximately a 200-foot section of Homestead-Duquesne Road in Munhall Borough, PA. The scope of work also includes replacement of disturbed pavement, new bituminous curb, resetting guide rail, roadway drainage improvements, and slope erosion protection. The Site 1 project limits begins approximately 0.25 miles (1300 feet) from the intersection with Main Street and across from Franklin Street in Munhall Borough, PA.
