Pittsburgh – PennDOT District 11 is announcing southbound Mifflin Road (Route 885) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, has reopened to traffic.
Bi-directional traffic on Mifflin Road between Doerrville Avenue and Lebanon Road has been restored. Crews completed sewer line installation work this morning. The work was finished nearly one month ahead of schedule.
Culvert replacement work and roadway reconstruction will begin on July 6. A long-term 50 calendar day closure of Mifflin Road in both directions will occur. Additional information will be issued prior to this work beginning.
Minor work with restrictions will occur as needed on Mifflin Road prior to the long-term closure. Please use caution when driving through the area. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
The overall $11.18 million Glenwood Interchange Phase 2 project includes the replacement of four culverts, utility relocation, traffic signal upgrades and the resurfacing of Route 885 (Mifflin Road) between Lebanon Road and Doerville Street. Golden Triangle Construction is the prime contractor.
