West Mifflin, Allegheny County –  On Tuesday February 10, 2016 at 18:23 hours, West Mifflin Police responded to a reported robbery at Rite Aid 4927 Homeville Rd. West Mifflin.  The store employees report a White Male entered the store and forced his arm past a sales associate and removed money from the Cash Register Drawer.  West Mifflin Police immediately received information identifying the suspect in this case.  A citizen who was in the vicinity of the suspect noticed his clothing demeanor and actions

West Mifflin Police immediately received information identifying the suspect in this case.  A citizen who was in the vicinity of the suspect noticed his clothing demeanor and actions and as a result was able to obtain information regarding who the suspect was.  West Mifflin Detectives, armed with this information were able to track down the suspect and subsequently obtained a confession from Matthew Grubisha a 35 year old white male from West Mifflin. He has been arrested and charges with title 18 violations for Robbery and Theft.

As we are aware the police can’t be in all places at one time and we need the assistance of our community and citizens.  In this case the persons responsible for the identification did so without placing themselves in harm’s way and were able to pass the information to us leading to this arrest.
