image001On March 1, 2016 at about 1:50 a.m., Homestead Police were dispatched to the area of McLean Park for a report of an unresponsive male laying on the ground. Upon officers’ arrival, they discovered a black male who had multiple gunshot wounds. The 20-year-old male was identified as Tyrell Jones. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene. Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit along with the Homestead Police Department are asking for anyone who has any information about persons responsible for this homicide to come forward.

Anyone with information concerning this homicide is asked to call Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers at (412) 255-TIPS. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of individuals wanted for featured crimes. Callers may remain anonymous.
