There’s only one change to the Pennsylvania vehicle license plate design.
The license plate still has the color scheme of blue, white, and yellow.
The design change? There will no longer be an indent in the upper left of the license place.
The indent will be removed and replaces with an outline of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Your current license plate is still valid and will remain in use.
You do not need to replace your current, valid license place.
Starting in Summer 2017, these new license plates will be standard issue once the State depletes their current plate inventory.
