West Mifflin, Allegheny County – On Tuesday May 12, 2015 at 8:27pm Duquesne Police Officers did arrest 16 year old juvenile Aaron Pirl for an arrest warrant out of West Mifflin for multiple armed Robberies in the Duquesne Annex area of West Mifflin. Pirl was walking along Grant street at the time and was taken into custody without incident.
Through Investigation West Mifflin Detectives were able to identify Pirl as the person responsible for the robberies and consulted the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office who recommended charges be filed under Act #33 against Pirl as an adult. Charges for Robbery, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Aggravated Assault, and Theft have been filed at this time.
During a 16 day period we received five (5) reported robberies in the area. While this arrest is part of the investigation on all five incidents we are continuing to process additional physical evidence that we believe may lead to additional charges.
