Did you receive a “Code Red” phone call or email?

A number of residents received a “Code Red” emergency notification telephone call or voicemail this morning (Wednesday 10/26/2016). 

We have tracked the source of this call. 

We’re happy to report that Code Red is a legitimate company.   This wasn’t a scam.   
Code Red services certain departments in Pennsylvania State Government.   This morning PENDOT accidentally triggered a notification test message, sending notifications out to the whole of Pennsylvania. 
Only some subscribers received the message because Code Red was able to abort the process just after it had started.
