West Mifflin, Allegheny County – On Thursday September 8, 2016 at 8:11am, West Mifflin Police reported to the WMASD High School for an issue of a student threatening several other students.

We received information from School Administration that they were speaking with the juvenile student regarding threats that were made toward other students.

After obtaining the information the West Mifflin Detectives consulted with the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office as well as Juvenile Probation.  It was determined that charges will be filed by our department and the student was released to the custody of a guardian.

All students and their parent/guardian named by the threat were contacted. The West Mifflin Area School District is addressing internal discipline and counseling as needed.
