The West Mifflin Police Department has received a number of calls from concerned citizens who have received calls from a “foreign sounding” male individual who claims to be calling from Duqesne Light.
This male threatens to shut off service to the residence unless the individual calls another phone number to make payment.
- DO NOT give out your personal, electric account, banking, or other information to unknown callers.
- DO NOT engage with suspicious callers.
- Remain calm, and take note of the telephone number that you received the call from
- Hang Up The Phone, and call 911, or your local Police Department to speak to an Officer.
