Animal FrontWe all love our pets, and panic sets in when one of them goes missing from our homes.

Before you go out looking, reach out to your local Police Department to let them know.

Police Departments have Officers on the road 24/7 – you never know who spotted something.

Other people call with news of lost and found animals. You never know, yours could be one of them.

In West Mifflin, the Police Department lists their lost and found animals on their news outlets whenever possible, this reaches tens of thousands of people.

  • Make sure your pet has identification (collar, tags, chips). Remember, “indoor pets” are less comfortable and need to be returned home quickly when they find themselves outdoors.
  • Make sure your pet is licensed.
  • If possible, have a picture of your pet on hand.
