Pittsburgh – PennDOT District 11 is announcing Mifflin Road (Route 885) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will reopen to bi-directional traffic on Tuesday morning, August 25.

Beginning at 6 a.m. Tuesday morning bi-directional traffic on Mifflin Road between Doerrville Avenue and Lebanon Road will be restored.  Crews are conducting culvert replacement work and roadway reconstruction which began on July 6.

Short-term, intermittent stoppages will occur from Tuesday, August 25 through Monday, September 7 as crews continue construction activities including curb and sidewalk construction and traffic signal improvements.  Flaggers will control traffic.

Please use caution when driving through the area.  Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.

The overall $11.18 million Glenwood Interchange Phase 2 project includes the replacement of four culverts, utility relocation, traffic signal upgrades and the resurfacing of Route 885 (Mifflin Road) between Lebanon Road and Doerville Street.  Golden Triangle Construction is the prime contractor.
