A bad batch of the opiod heroin is spreading across the Area. We have responded to two Overdoses in a week. One fatal as the person was not discovered for a long period of time, the other near-fatal, but the quick response of Baldwin EMS averted the same result. We are also aware of others throughout the south hills area.
We do not have an exact cause of the Overdoses but want to make the public aware of an increased danger. Our department is continuing to investigate.
